I am thinking of planting dwarf hairgrass in my pond here in Canada, it is a perennial zones 3 to 9 so it should do fine. Once I pick up the plants, I can apparently spit them into smaller bunches of 3 strands, and plant about 2 inches apart, correct? Do I submerge them completely in water or can their tops be exposed? I have lots of light in my pond, so aside from an aeration system, which I will be purchasing soon, I want to put in oxygenating plants as well -- hence the decision for the dwarf hairgrass. Any added thoughts? Thanks!

I did a lot of snorkeling in northern WI over the last few weeks. I saw three differant types of this growing widely in a few differant lakes. It was like a mowed lawn on the bottom of the lake. Does any one have an idea of what these plants are for ID and more info?

That stuff looks promising - might help manage FA and nuisance macrophytes. We need Kelly/Eric/Bill to chime in.

Few things in life worse than a nuisance macrophyte.... Unless it would be an invasive pond weed.

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.
