My (small 1/5 acre) pond should have cats, bluegills, and some perch (can't vouch for what was in there way back when). But it's swimming in minnows. When my feeders go off, I see minnows up the wazoo and very few big fish going after feed. I know I've also got a ton of crawfish in there as well as frogs/tadpoles.

Is it "bad" to have that many minnows all over? Am I missing a "minnow predator" in the food chain? I haven't had much chance to fish but this weekend when I did go out, I couldn't catch a single fish. My bobbers were going nuts with action but nothing ever stole my worm or actually bit the hook.
