We have 2 ponds on our property and have recently installed a swimming pool in the smaller one after drying it out. My problem is keeping it from gathering water. I am wanting to install a drain pipe through a berm which surrounds the pool. The berm is about 10 high and about 20 feet thick. Does anyone have knowledge pertaining to boring through a berm?

Either cut a trench through the berm with a backhoe or mini excavator, install a pipe and refill/repack, or call around for a company that does directional boring.
