Hello from Georgia. I am putting together a holding tank (275 gallons) to hold bream/bluegill for bait. This will be an above ground tank. It will only be used 6-7 months a year.

I have my air but I think I am going to need some sort of filtration system.I will be trying to keep 100-200 in it at a time anywhere from 4-6" in size.

Can someone suggest a simple filtration system?

Thanks,
Troy

Will the tank be near a pond? Circulating water from the pond into the tank and back into the pond would be the easiest.

If you can't recirculate water from the pond to the tank and back, look into what they use for filtration systems for aquaculture.

Or, a filter system like would be used on a 300 gallon aquarium.

The size of the filter system all depends on the amount of fish that you will be holding in the tank, and the amount of food you will be feeding them.

I would suggest a large bio-filter....either a fluidized sand bed with at least 9 pounds of sand media, or a "bio-ball setup....The styles used in aquariums.
