I have a few areas where these are very abundant in our new acre pond. What fish made these? My guesses would be FHM or LMB......Thanks much. Todd

Too early to tell but they look like some type of sunfish, I'm guessing they are BG.

I know this picture is a BG fry.

FWIW my BG fry last fall had developed distinct vertical stripes when they were just a hair bigger than that. Mine looked like this pic. As you can see the body is not as translucent when they get just a little bit bigger either.

Alright BG seems to be it. Thank you all so much, the other fish seem to think they are delicious.

ToddM - I think your small fish are small LMB plus in WVA it is too early for YOY BG to be this big 3/4"(18-19mm) by the end of May. The body shape is not quite right for BG. If you look at them very closely in your hand or in plastic zip loc bag with water, you should see the mouth extends back to the eye which is not really apparent in the pictures due to poor focus. If you look closely at the 2nd picture with the coin the jaw appears to extend to the middle of the eye. If you look very closely at the BG in Shorty's picture note Todd's fish are very slightly more slender bodied than the BG in Shorty's picture. Fish in todd's pic lack the hump displayed in the middle of the back of the fish in Shorty's picture. The head is more bulkier compared to total body depth of the fish by Todd compared to Shorty' BG fish picture. Some of the very subtle differences that separate fish of this size and smaller. Pay attention to these fish in another 7-10 days and you will notice they have a longitudinal stripe down the side of the body. See if you can catch some then and re-photograph them. They will be a lot harder to catch in 7 days due to being chased by larger fish.

I will follow up and post pics next week. Even If I need to get wet trying.
