I bought a property with an existing pond (maybe a half acre or so). It is being overrun with Hydrilla. I put 6 grass carp in this spring and they have not been able to keep up so far. I really would rather not use chemicals because of the vast amount of live stock that have access to this water. Is there any affective way to drag a pond this size until the carp can catch up? Or anything else I can do?
THANKS!

From my experience I had a one acre pond overrun with Eurasian Millfoil. Using 18 grass carp it took 4 years to eliminate the pond vegetation. So maybe you need more grass carp and more time.

It takes about a year for the results from the GC to show.
Be careful dragging. Some plants reproduce from pieces and parts that are left over. Research what type of plant you want to drag.........
