Hey guys newb here. I am wanting to build a levee filling in the end of a saddle formation. Im looking to make the levee about 12' high with about a 36' base. the depression I am turning into a pond gets a fair amount of water however, the levee will be right on my property line. Does any one know if there is a distance I have to stay off the property line before starting the levee? Does anyone have any experience with Chirt soil?

Hopefully bumping this so someone sees this and might help. Can't really answer your questions, but there must be entities out there that could? Gov't office of some sort? It must vary by region/state/counties too. I can never remember the offices ( initials for?) that the guys here recommend.

I would start with the local NRCS office.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
