Not fully pond related but I bought this golf cart for my folks for getting back and forth to the pond since they won't take the UTV, and decided to "Huskerize" it for them over the winter (I have to have projects). It's a '97 Club Car 48v electric cart, I did all the work myself and for not picking up a paint gun in 30 years it turned out pretty good! I didn't show them any progress along the way and presented it to them on Sunday. Here's the before and after's: Complete with ground effects and a horn that plays the Husker fight song! I think they like it!

Nice work! Very clean upgrade!
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

Thank you, gentlemen! Much appreciated! Although, dad came into my office Monday morning, sat down and said "I had a little accident". I could only respond with "dad, please tell me you made it at least one full day without any damage!" He pulled his truck out of the garage and apparently my niece had moved the charger in the path of his truck, so when he pulled back into the garage: Could have been worse!

LL, that is some nice work! Did you have to modify the body to change it from a "golf bag carrier" to have an extra rear facing seat?

Thanks dj! No mods necessary as all rear seat kits are "made to fit" each cart model. Although you do need to replace the rear leaf springs with heavy duty ones to accommodate the extra weight of the kit and passengers. I also ordered the two-tone seats with the rear seat kit, and matching seat covers for the front, and re-covered them myself. And even though there's a very long list of add-ons I did to this cart (many behind the scenes with electrical stuff), there's so much more I could have done, but had to stop somewhere! Just as there's a whole world of pond-meister's out there, I discovered there's also a whole world of "buggie-nuts" as well . Very cool to see what can be done with a golf cart!

Just an update, after dad's charger crawled under his truck tire I did get him a new one as I wanted to be sure he had one by Easter weekend, but considering they don't give those things away, and I believe that just about anything can be repaired (within reason), I decided to gut the old one, try to straighten it out and see if it would still work. So only having to replace the ammeter, and using a few select tools, objects and a rubber mallet, I straightened it out, put it back together and it's good as new working just fine . Mission accomplished!
