Where do you go to find out about diseases for bass. I caught a bass yesterday that had spot about the size of a silver dollar. The spot was located about 1/2 inch behind and above the eye.It was yellowish and had a leasion at the top. The leasion was about the size of a pencil eraser and was kind of mushy. I started to throw the fish out but I turned it back and am now concerned that maybe I have a problem. I haven't seen this on any other fish. At first I thought something had injured the fish but know one besides me has been on the pond and I don't know how an injury could occur.

Steve, Just a guess, but sounds like it could be from a heron trying to stab the fish.
