Anyone in Georgia have a source for AG Lime?

Alternatively, for anyone who has limed their pond, where have you sourced your AG Lime, and what can one expect to pay for it?

Have a 1 acre pond. pH is low. Pond has never been limed. Ever. Over 30 years old.

Thanks anyone who has info on AG Lime.

Basslover, do a soil assay of the surrounding watershed and pond bottom to see if you are even in need of lime first...also consider having your water analyzed to see what your hardness, alkalinity and sources for both are....both can give you a great idea on how much, if any, Ag Lime is needed. 7.4 is the pH of fish blood, and is what I consider to be perfect and least stressful on fish, but pH will change throughout the day in the water...Ag Lime in the proper distribution will help slow and lessen, or "buffer", those pH swings.

In particular on a water assessment, look for Calcium, Magnesium as the source for hardness and total alkalinity.

Most feed co-ops have ag lime and slinger trucks.
