Try Dramamine out beforehand to see how it effects you, but check with your doc first!!! Not everyone can take that stuff. +1 I tried it once and will not use it again. Made my hands shake so bad my wife had to bait my hook. Pretty much ruined my day.

Sounds like a great trip in the works!!

I once thought I was going to get really sick. Then I hung a big fish and forgot all about it.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Pretty much Ken. We would tell people to sit down and don't think about it, which worked at times, but once you hit the cabin and laid down, that could be your detriment, and a miserable trip. I've seen people recover after letting the genie out of the bottle and ended up having a great day. Sometimes, it's only that initial feeling and reaction that get's them, then everything is fine. On occasion, I would let someone feeling a tad under the weather sit by me. Show and explain the electronics and what is really going on here with the hardware out and the conditions. Take their mind off of it, because it's in your mind. I've tossed a new wet vac in the dumpster. Didn't even want to open that one up

It really is in the mind, but physical attributes, what you are feeling, plays a big role. Hook into something, and it's pretty much gone. That is, if you are not suffering from a night of booze. That was the biggest problem we have ever had running charters. Not that they were problem people at all, and never had a problem, but they just blew a wad to get sick on a boat

Years ago my wife and I were down in the keys and decided to take a tourist excursion out to do a little snorkeling. On he way out I got a little queasy, but once we anchored the unpleasantness throttled up full bore. When it came time to get in the water, I was afraid to move an inch for fear it would send my stomach over the edge.
My wife got in, swam with the fish, had a great time. I was too sick to even take a photo. At one point some dark clouds came in overhead, and I remember wondering if a lightning strike might put me out of my misery. No such luck.
On the way back I crawled as far out on the bow of that boat as they would let me, and rode with the wind in my face. Felt pretty good by the time we got back in, and an hour later I was hungry and ready to eat. Went great until we got back to the hotel and I laid down in bed. Wham...that bed would not hold still, felt just like the boat rocking. Barely made it to the bathroom in time.
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

I see where I went wrong years ago in Cali.
#1. Boarded ship after night of heavy drinking.
Ate donuts as soon as I boarded.
#2. Then went down below to take nap.

Ha Ha....about right JKB...but it was a bottle of Bacardi.
Believe it or not I also get a bit claustrophobic on a deep sea boat...yeah it's out in the open, but I can't "escape" I can't get off....lol.

Guys, we have a list of 5-6 states and 6-7 people from the PB we plan to visit. Soon we will come up with a schedule and since we decided to hit to Texas , we are expecting to hear maybe another one or to invitations. Or it will be a waste of time to drive all the way from FL .

I didn't mean to offend Scott . 1400 miles of driving to any place for staying 1-2 days would be a waste of time.

Is the end of the trip in Indiana? Do you fly out of there, or head back to NY. Just wondering, you might be passing by our place along the Interstate. Don't have much to offer tho in the way of fishing.

No offence taken! Just saying that Texas is worth the trip but I agree, no place is worth the drive if the drive to and from takes longer than the time you will be there.

MDNR report from yesterday said the Steelhead are starting to move in. Next should be Coho (Pacific Salmon) While excellent eating and top notch if smoked, I really don't want to get into a jack run. You could limit out with legal, but small fish. Not much fight. We always targeted Chinook (Kings), and a good Captain will put you on them, despite what else is going on. People want the excitement of a fight, and a King will give that. July 7th is the date I am setting. It's the one year anniversary of my BIL passing away, and he was a Top Notch Captain!!! Always caught fish and took care of everyone. 2 charters for the same day are in the works now Anyone else want to get in on this? I'm not paying for more than two charters, but if you guy's want to organize and hit the lake, not a problem. Need to know pretty quick tho.

Fatih, my area isn't known to be a muskie go-to spot for fishing, but I know the guy who makes the Musky Train lures. He lives, and his workshop, is very close to me.

Guys stop messing with each other! I will be fishing at least 6 states, in South and North. As an objective stranger , let me see which part of the USA is the real KING in terms of fishing. I will also film a documentary during our trip. Our lines will be cast even as we are sleeping in the tent. So we will take every chance to catch the largest one .
