FWIW I can't tell how big those frogs are in the pic from the store. The leopards I see around here are 3 to 4 inches and often move away from the pond a bit to forage. Our bulls are bigger maybe 6 and don't have those obvious spots. I read somewhere that southern bulls can have spots.

Bill the bullfrogs are the ones that make the most noise at night correct?

Yes....but our kind of leopards call as well but they sound more like a chirp to me!
Edit: Now that I think about, I think most every kind of frog calls. I think each kind has more than one call as well. Depends on whether they are establishing a territory or calling a mate as to what kind of noise they make.

That deep throated bull frog is what I am looking for. You know the sound if you have ever been around small lakes or ponds. When he hollor's out, you say," where is that sucker". I know his legs would make a meal all by his self. I"ve seen pictures of him, about 14" long and weighs about 2 lbs. . But never find him when out hunting Tracy
