Minn Kota Ulterra

I remember my Dad backing the boat into the water
and then I was supposed to back the boat off the trailer
and ease over to the dock to pick him up. I thought
I was King of The World backing the boat off the trailer!
Now I guess these fancy gadgets will do all that for ya.

The way my luck runs a wire would come loose as I'm putting the trailer in the parking lot.......

I wonder if it will tell me to put the drain plug back in.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

That would change the flavor of the advertisement significantly. Then the two guys in the boat would be laughing their butts off as the guy offered them twenty bucks to go retrieve his boat for him. grin

Scott and Dave with my luck both would happen to me. But this would of been nice for all the times I launched the boat alone.

I guess this same technology will soon be on some kind of floating mini boat..like a mini pontoon...it will be on auto-pilot and shoot out Cutrine Plus granules from a Texas Hunter feeder type machine all in the proper doses and go up and down your pond while you sit on your porch drinking an ice cold Shiner watching the machine work.

I have the Minn Kota iPilot (but not with the fancy auto deploy feature) on my bass boat and have had a lot of fun with it in the pond.

As my non-boating cousins began freaking out as the boat began drifting away from the boat dock, with them in it, I let it go a ways and then I simply called it back in like a little puppy dog, "come here boy, come on, come on".

Of course with the remote in my pocket but that was one of the best! (well, it was in MY opinion grin )

You should have yelled to the Cousins that you forgot to put the drain plug in.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Reminds me of the scout leader with feed trained fish in his pond. Told the boys he could call the fish in and made a big deal out of the fish call. The boys actually believed he had called them in. Of course we all know the fish could feel the vibration of their feet as they walked up and were used to being fed at that spot and time.

Zep, You spoke of Shiner. My dad was born there and used to work in the brewery when he was just a kid. He was the first of our family born here in the states from Czechoslovakia. Still cant spell that word. Local café offered what they called a highball. It was half homemade chile and half homemade stew. A big bowl of that and a ice cold Shiner beer and you were set!!

Dear Alcohol, We had a deal where you would make me funnier, smarter, and a better dancer... I saw the video... We need to talk.

The problem with technology is the human still needs to have it's brain engaged to keep everything functioning within prescribed design parameters.

Many things can interfere with maintaining human brain engagement. Beer is one.

Cool Flame.

I toured the Shiner Brewery a few years ago.

Of course I had to partake in the free beer they
provide every afternoon.

Take a look at this slideshow and you might see your Dad.

Ewest, maybe one of the things on the list is responsible for the memory problem. At least that is what I blame my lame memory on.
