I saw these SolarBee SB Series Solar Circulators and wondered what the best option was vs. a typical bottom diffuser like a AirPro Rocking Piston Pond Aerator Kit - up to 2 Acres or the like?

I couldn't find a price for the SolarBee so that may be one thing different?

Just curious on a pond avg. depth 15 feet with the deepest part at 20ft which would be better.... or if the SolarBee is even something that you would want for a pond that size.

There is a small lake by me with a small home owners association to help pay for lake mamanagement, weed control etc. Years ago they bought one and they feel it has done wonders for reducing muck, promoting turnover of lake water and other subjective things that they claim are better. The lake freezes over every winter in Michigan, I believe they keep it out there but somehow it is 'turned off'? not sure but that may not be a concern of yours in OK?

The webpage doesn't discuss price as far as I know. They think cost may be upwards of $25,000 and higher in today's dollars. The member of the association i work with is sure the association didn't have that kind of money to spend on it as their association was new back then, but she thinks someone knew someone and convinced this company to use this as a demonstrator site or a test install site.

I don't know in real life terms of percent water turnover, oxygenation ranges, etc to really tell you more.

They are in the $20,000 + range and the general consensus is that they do not work as promised. You can easily aerate 2 acres with a dependable electric system with a bottom diffuser for much less!!
