Did Bruce take that picture? Looks like it's 10 lbs. in the photo. Nice fish! Idaho has some big yellow perch. I have two 15 inchers in my freezer that were given to me from Idaho.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I guess that if you don't have long arms like Bruce it would pay to be of small stature.

Wow that is great. Not only is it a record I expect that little girl will be a fisher woman for the rest of her life.
Good for her.

The perch above is a trophy yellow perch and this lucky girl will likely never catch another YP that big. YP that big are very rare. However it is not the world record yellow perch which is 4 lbs 4 oz caught in New Jersey 1865. The state record YP in Michigan was 21" long & weighed 3 lbs 12oz. Here is the story about tracking down the elusive MI state record YP. Cecil knows Mr. Seibert a fellow fish taxidermist. http://www.thenewsherald.com/articles/20...iewmode=default

Bill I think it's the "world record" for a tip up. Maybe there is a world record for a spinning rod, and a world record for a closed faced reel, and a world record for standing on your head while catching a perch etc. etc.
LOL

Bruce, you're not going to claim credit for how to photo lessons? If his fish weren't already so big we wouldn't have to kid him about the pictures!
