I have been fighting various types of aquatic plants and 45 years of organic matter and having fun with all of the fish in my ponds.

Join the club on the old thing!
My experience is pictures are always greeted with interest and enthusiasm on this site.
I think I have seen a member or two from CA. Only state I can think of I haven't seen a member from is Hawaii!
Some of the pros will be along at some point to answer all your questions. Holiday season and not too many on line right now.
I just jumped in here to welcome you.
Happy Holidays!

cb100, Welcome to pond boss. Tons of good info here. Post some pic.....Would like to see what a CA pond looks like. I have a new 3/4 acre pond as well, but only about 1/2 as deep as yours (12'). What are your goals for your pond? I see you are hunting for RES and CC. Charlie
...when in doubt...set the hook...

Pond was built in 1970 has years of organic matter built up . Rotted weeds, and other matter.about 5-6 feet deep I am trying to get it back to a good starting point.have been dredging the muck out with a 3" trash pump.I pump it to another pond above my big pond let mud settle out and drain back in to big pond.I also have a leaking dam that I am trying to figure out.I am also having fun with different fish.
