Tate, I have no idea if this will work, but have you tried doing a search with the US Patent office? I believe they are accompanied by schematics, although they may not be fully detailed.

There was an at length discussion on this topic a while back, and I believe the general concensus was to leave the shocking to the pros. The damage that amatures could do to their pondlife and, or themselves outweighed the cost savings. If I remember correctly you could have a pro shock your pond quite a few times for the cost of a safely equipped shocking boat.
