Greg, these links might help:

http://www.wolbertandmaster.com/Products/Additives_LiquidLime.html

http://www.turboturf.com/Liquid_Lime.htm

I have no idea how these products will work in a pond as they are obviously NOT time released as lime sitting on the bottom of a pond would be.

Greg this almost sounds like a liquid version of hydrated lime. How can one gallon of this stuff be the same as 1300 pounds af ag lime?

wwg thanks for the info. Bill I'm with you I have always have and will continue to contend that in the longrun ag lime is the way to go, but like to have options avail for certain situations. How is the fertilizer working?, tought right now with all the rain we have been having.

Fertilizer goes in Saturday unless it gets as cold(32-36) as predicted then I will wait a week. Feeder went back up last saturday. No action when I put some feed in so I guess my fish have to be retrained.

Greg, fertilized last Saturday(4-5). With the rain and cold weather we had this week was that a waste or will the fertilizer still work when it warms up. If I don't get a bloom when should I fertilize again?

Me and you both. I have never had such a hard time getting a bloom. We have been used to the drought the last few years and the rain is making it hard for the establishment. I would fertilize again next week if you see no diff.

I fertilized about half my lakes this year before the recent cold spells we've experienced in Texas. Those that were fertilized early are starting to get a bloom on them, whereas those that were hit later are still clear.

It often takes 2 or 3 applications before you start to see a bloom. The fertilizer wasn't wasted, but you will want to come back in with about a gallon/acre in 2 weeks time. By the third app. you will see a difference.

The bloom is coming a little hard this year, particularly in lakes that have experienced flushing flows over the winter.
