Thought I would share these quick. Brett and I caught us some nice CNBG Saturday. We kept 6 for the freezer they were all in the 9 to 10 inch range! He had a blast!! That's what it's all about! Here is Brett with a couple he caught! This BG was pushing 10.5 inches we let it go to fight another day! Here are 3 of the 6 we kept! Some nice fish for sure! Last but for sure not least! Fish on the plate! Man did these taste GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!! We rolled and dipped them in some Louisiana cajun breading! Wow they were awesome!!

Nice!
We fished our pond yesterday and caught a number of BG in the 7.5_8" range, which are our brood stock, stocked a year and a half ago. What you caught is what I'm shooting for. Nice table fare and fun size to catch. Only filleted a couple that were gut hooked.

RC51 that's what it's all about!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Yeah we had a great time! He even has me on video catching one with my Fly Rod!! My first son Noah is 18 now and fixing to leave to boot camp in the Army and even though we have had a few times up there together I wish I would have had more time with him there. Man time flys!! My youngest is only 11 so we will have a lot more time up there together for sure! I hope that Noah will come full circle one day and want to spend some more time at the cabin with his old man as he gets older!! RC

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

Red Ear are the only other fish I have that are shaped kind of like this BG? RC Funny story I forgot to tell. We were kind of feeding the fish and I was throwing a line out with no bobber 6lbs test and one of my GC bit my food well this GC is about 40 inches so that fight lasted all of about 3 seconds!! LOL! I bet he will think twice about eating any fish food soon though!

The photo of Brett's first fish appears to be a female BG. They are often more fusiform in appearance than the males.

Spark I have noticed that in the ones I have caught. They seem to be lighter in color and not as round per say as the males.
