This is the first year our pond has held water. THe temp six foot down was 74 and the nights started getting cold (in 40's). I noticed the pond going down a little faster than normal. I did some research and read where warm water will evaporate faster in cold air. My question is that true where I would noticed it? We had one day with cold and steady 35 mph winds the whole day and that is the most it dropped in one day ever. Again this is my first year so trying to learn what to expect with the seasons.

Yes, certainly! Not too far from you and I'm seeing the same. More loss on cool nights with warm water.
Tonight I have huge steam clouds billowing off of the pond. Clear indication of water loss there!
