Guy's,
Does anyone here know of a reputable pond builder/advisor in Louisiana? I have noticed on some older post that occasionally a person will offer onsite help/advice in certin states. I have searched and asked around my area, but after getting burned once, its hard to get that good fuzzy feeling back.
I am 80% complete with my pond, and I found out through my own fault lack of research that my Contractor was nothing but a equimpment operator and a few other things I wont post. Heck, I drive equipment pretty good myself.
I am certinly willing to pay a person for the knowledge they possess.
Thanks for any references.
Thanks, Chad

This guy asked basically the same question a little over a year ago & didn't see any responses. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=344895You may have to look for nice looking ponds in your area and approach the owner as to who built it. Maybe local farm supply stores have leads? Or contact your local gvt offices and ask questions. LSU AgCenter Central Region Office 8208 Tom Bowman Drive Alexandria, LA 71302 (318) 427-4424

...You may have to look for nice looking ponds in your area and approach the owner as to who built it.... Mark, this is exactly what we did, and it worked out very well. We had a collapse in the dam a year or so after our pond was put in due to a vein of sand washing out, and our pond guy showed up the next morning with a whole crew to repack and repair that area at no cost to us. We couldn't ask for much more than that. The dam's been solid every since.

How about contacting Otto? Not that he would do it, but if anyone would have insight to the area of possible help, he might.

Thanks Guy's,
Esshup, I have not spoken to them. I will go down that route and see what they have to say.
Fish, I was thinking the same thing about Otto. I have read many good things about him and seen his name in many places here. I Was just going to shoot him an email and see if he had any connections in my state, guess it couldnt hurt.
Chad
