I honestly didnt know fish could grow that fast here in the midwest.

Thanks for this thread Blue72, your pond and car look sweet, and that lmb is nice too! I'm in the planning phase of my existing pond and you've provided some valuable info and conversation.

So with the warm weather here sunday and seeing a few fish in the pond starting to work around on top the water some I decided to put the leftover optimal from last year in the feeder and see if anything was ready to feed. Apparently my bluegill and bass have not forgot what racket at the feeder means. As i did a quick test run and the bluegill started hitting the feed immediately and the bass showed up soon after. So then I decided to catch a couple fish and just see how they were doing. Looks like they are doing well but interested in your opinions on the first fish. Ive never seen a fish colored like this before. first fish I caught and the largest. I believe these are bg/res hybrids that were stocked but interested in the experts opinion.
