Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
Thanks. Spinnerbaits and Chatterbaits. The ponds are in my neighborhood and total about 4 acres. I just started "managing" them this year. I stocked 40 CC and am feeding daily. I am trying to get a sense of what else needs to be done. The bass seem healthy. The biggest was 18.5 inches and they are all fat. I don't really catch many under 14 inches, andI know they are spawning as bass fry are everywhere. I don't think I need to add any bass as I want to avoid overpopulation of the bass. If anything I might stock 5-10 bass to add some diversity to the gene pool as these are old ponds in a neighborhood that has been there for 30 years or more.
There are TONS of bluegills/panfish. They don't seem to be any larger than 6-7 inches, but I am fine with that as I would prefer to have food for the bass.
