Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
Now strap on a tank and go look at the stuff IN the water. Been diving since 68 and been in the water with about everything in your pictures. Whale sharks, sharks, Manta's, big schools of Jacks, Dolphins, etc. Wife is also into Macro photography so we also look for the tiny half inch long stuff while we are diving, which is also colorful and interesting.
I remember our trips to big aquariums when our kids were small. Cool stuff.

We are headed to the Bahamas next week. And I plan on taking out as many lion fish as I can. I hope to bring back a cooler full of filets. They have taken over down there and there is no limit on them. Also they say that they taste like hog snapper. One of my favorite fish to eat.
Lionfish are very tasty. We go to Bonaire a couple times a year where a few of the restaurants are putting Lionfish on the menu. Pasa Bon Pizza has a Lionfish Pizza with white sauce but I've not tried it yet.
We have a friend that has shot some for us (requires a permit to collect them in Bonaire) and have grilled them. Nice, white, flaky meat. Ought to be. Protein fed.
If you've never done a Blackbeards cruise out of the Bahamas it is a lot of good diving.
