Few questions before booking.
If wife and daughter come along and stay in room do they have to attend conference? Would wife and daughter be able to eat meals with group?
Wife is not sure if she can go yet, can we book the added meals later? She wants to come but the extra $490 for the two them to attend conference is kind of a blocker for her. Shes just not that into it all. Lol! Anyway I wanna get everything booked up for me. Can I just call office to pay?

I would think that if you wanted to hit this gig and your family wanted to do other things while you are doing yours, why should they pay to attend?

They don't have to attend the conference.

Regarding the meals, I'm sure they can attend, but there may be a fee. I highly doubt the girl has to pay though as she's like 2 or 3 years old by that time.

Just attempted to book room with number provided in the insert of magazine. They have no group rate as of now for Pond Boss conference. The guy I talked has never heard of it. I tried to get them to transfer me to that particular hotel. He would not. He wanted a code. Is there a code?

John, I don't know where everybody's planning on staying, but the Hilton allows you to keep the car parked for the whole trip if you like. It's walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater. Neat little area.

I will stay wherever the main event is, so if that's the Hilton, so be it.

Too early for me to know whether I will be alone or not, but most likely will also be at the Hilton.

Sunil, I know you're on a fixed budget, so there's an outlet beef jerky place close to the hotel. I'm not brave enough to try beef jerky that didn't make the original cut, so I'd appreciate you checking it out, and letting me know if it's ok.

Rex they had two choices. King or double bed. I just booked double bed because I'm not sure if wife is going yet. If she doesn't I'll be looking for carpoolers and selling that bed. Lol.

Both types of rooms were same price. You don't even have to pay now if you don't want too. That's rare.

I won't be able to make it, so be sure and post lots of photos!

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

Well, you know, Texans are good at this kind of thing. I love barbequed Pork Rinds. Last time I was in Houston, I was buying some beer, and I saw the familiar, joyous packaging of bbq Pork Rinds. To my surprise, this somewhat smaller bag was called "Pork Cracklins." This was a bag of all the smaller pieces of Pork Rind!!!

Way to use the leftovers!!

Anyway, FIH/Al, thanks for thinking of me!!

Excellent idea Rex. Sucks you can't make it Tony. I'll be sure to take lots of pics. Beer and beef jerkey. Sounds like a party Sunil.

For Cracklins, you need to exit Texas and go a tad more East. They are way more efficient at making the leftovers work wink
