I plan on digging a pond in Farnham shaly silt loam ground between two hills. There is a class C creek running through it. I am concerned about establishing a pond that will not attract vegetation. It will be about an acre and a half and will not require a dam. Is anyone here familiar with digging a pond in this type of soil?
