A little worried, I found two dead CNBG today on the pond edge. Put out 3 feeders and both where found by one of the feeders. These were adult in size. The feed is sportsmans choice. Have been fertilizing trying to get a bloom for about a month. Hope I haven't caused the oxygen levels to get to low. All the other fish look healthy. Not sure what to think.

I would say 4500. Added 4000 this year from 1 to 4 inches. Already had some older ones in the pond. Its 3 acres in size.

I'd start to wonder "what's happening" if I were to see 100-200. Even a dozen dead wouldn't make me give it a 2nd thought. Coming out of winter, even down there, fish are stressed, and little things can make a few kick the bucket.

Ok this what happened at my place this weekend, I had some adult CNBGs die. Around 10 that I saw. When I was getting them out of the pond I noticed bubbles coming from the bottom. No aeration here. This corner of the pond had a bunch of FA in it and muck from leaves falling in pond. In a panick I grab a hose and hooked it to my well to run water in that corner, 50 gallons a minute. Had to leave and drive back to Dallas to work, neighbor check the pond on Monday and saw no more dead fish and no bubbles. Walt Overton is bringing me 100 pounds of Tilapia next week, think they will sovke this muck issue I have?
