Been awhile Steve. Hope life is going well.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Fish & Cows are good things to spend some quality time with for a birthday on the farmette. Have a good day Mr Theo. YP spawn should be over with eggs now hatching for those in central OH.

Happy B-day Theo! Hope it's a great one!
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

Happy Birthday, Theo.
I sure wish you were back on here. My wife has gotten into the cattle business. I always admired your efforts at creating a balanced bovine/piscine environment, and I've tried to emulate your set up. However, it's not going well and I need your advise on some confounding issues.
First, our cows aren't gaining weight. Do you think I should switch them from Game Fish Chow to Aquamax 600, or maybe go with Cargill?
Second, my Bovine Transportation Device ["Trebuchet" in French] seems to do a fine job with cow acceleration and flight, and a couple of times I actually thought they were nearing escape velocity. However, I'm having trouble managing the landings. Of course, this hasn't been a problem with those animals we intended for hamburger, but my daughter was very disappointed with the arrival condition of the heifer she were taking to 4H. I was thinking that I could shorten the moment arm and add less weight to the basket, but lacking an engineering background, I would appreciate your advice.
Also, there's this crazy guy in Indiana who frequently posts [trumpets, in my opinion] about the benefits of cyanellus genetics in private ponds. I have tried to gently convince him of the error of his ways, but he gets real technical with me and starts slinging all these mathematical formulas around, like this one-
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT
I know that his basic premise is patently ridiculous, but I can't seem to find the mistake in his calculations. I figure with your familiarity with calculus and differential equations, you'll be able to help. I know he'll thank me someday.
It seems unfair to burden you with these questions on your birthday, but since you're not here much, I've got to make the most of this opportunity.

Theo,
Happy Birthday. Wish you'd come back.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
