There is no fish in my new pond. We just moved in the end on November. We had about 25 dead fish float to the bank this spring. I have been fishing twice already and not even a single nibble. We have seen no small fish or minnows only 3 large grass carp. Any ideas of why there is no fish. Also I'm looking for suggestions for what to stock.

Your post is kinda contradictory. . No fish then you say there's 3 large carp? If 3 large carp survived the winter other fish survived aswell..
What were the 25 dead fish you found.. just because you can't catch them don't me they ain't there..
PS- I suggest you do alot of reading and fix the cause that killed the fish before you stock more fish unless you just want to kill them too..

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease.. BG. CSBG. LMB. HSB. RES.

I'm concerned that the grass carp only survived because they do not need other fish to eat. I pulled 2 large catfish 10 bass and the rest were larger bluegill. We are working on improving the pond as well as installing aeration.

And you do realize if you do have fish in the pond they should become more active in warmer water right? A couple of weeks ago I couldn't catch a bluegill to save my life on live bait. However the yellow perch were very active. Now as the water has warmed it's mostly bluegills. And the 300 large perch in my pond had no interest in panfish jigs whatsoever. However a live minnnow took the float down almost instantly.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Size and history of the pond?
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
