Eric
Ok now you will have to identifiy those beautiful flowers for my wife and I. Outstanding!!
We have a few Bald eagles in the are but I havent seen any on or near the farm, But we do have quite the family of Owl's, I haven't been able to get a shot of one yet as they only start making racket just at dark, I think they are trying to get the chickens riled up because when they get to hooten the rooster gets fired up and crows in the coop. Nearly had a red tail hawk trapped in the cover netting when he tried to snatch up a bird I guess he could'nt see the netting. The dogs dang near had him when he flopped free of the netting they were right on him, luckily he got away with only a few feathers lost.

WOW Eric nice pics!! The flowers are part of the fall colors here. We have a few that bloom late summer and fall. I will try to get a pic of the red spider lilies and post.

Ok here is my best try for the flowers:

Top - Day Lilly, I have over 100 varieties in the yard. From previous owner. They love the water and deal well in the wetlands around the banks of the pond.

Next - Water Hycinth. There are many in the pond and this year they gave a lovely bloom.

Next - Don't know the name of this wildflower

Next - Phlox. Have many varieties and colors around the yard.

If you want more I put some more in its own thread:

Trailsguy, I have the birds of prey nearly land on my head or hit me as they go by. They almost seem tame but I would never try to get any closer to them than they would me. I was fishing on one end of the pond when the Golden Eagle landed on my sons play house about 3 ft above my head. I was standing still looking at the minnows. When he landed he scared the %@$# out of me and when I scared him he took off and hit me in the head with his right wing. Was a day to remember. I have since seen him pick off a red fox in my yard as well as seeing others take a few squirrels off my deck.

Eric I look forward to seeing your pic of the red spider lilies. I am a sucker for close up pics and catching a view of something we normally don't take time to see and enjoy.

We have several varities of the day lilies but they have all bloomed and now gone, My wife was talking about a catalog of them but I dont think she ever got to it. Previous owner planted them, they said there were over 20 different flavors and I bet thats right.
