i have two one fourth acre ponds. one has vegitation and is clear water and the other has no vegitation at all and muddy water. should i add plants to the pond from the other pond to help the pond with no plants establish some plant? are plants the reason for clear water?

You didn't mention if your clear pond is fed by the same feeder as the muddy pond, or how they are laid out on the land. Is the muddy pond upstream of the clear one? If it is, it's acting as a silt trap for the lower pond.
