A last minute phone call and a quick trip north resulted in a after dark release of a few bonus fish: The inevitable hitchhiker:
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

20 WE turned out in one pond, 50 YP caged in another.
And to think I started out a few years ago just wanting to grow some big BG.

Tony I recommend you plan on ladder stocking.....those are some very tasty fish! I've eaten/fileted and frozen several of mine! I added 50 more this fall to replace what I've taken out so far. They are dream to filet! Very little mess.
Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer.

This morning I took a little AQ500 and mixed it with some hot water in a small ziplock. I waited until it softened enough to form a dough type paste, and tried it in the cage with the YP. Success! I formed it into balls and let it sink slowly, disintegrating as it drifted down, and the perch were on it.
My hope is to feed hydrated AQ whenever I can throughout the winter. Is there an absolute water temp where feeding needs to cease, in regards to hydrated feed and YP?

YP will eat all the way to hard water. No min eating temp. Eating does slow down in mid 40s. Don't feed to much at a time as it gets cold. All they need is enough to maintain condition over winter.

Ladder stocking, yes, agree. Your WE and YP may find a nice niche and do very well, especially at lower densities.
