I have just removed 2 small trailer loads of F/A from my 1/2 acre pond. Pond rake with rope works great. I let it dry for 2 days prior to loading in trailer. It appears to be partially dry now. Will F/A burn after it dries completely. I have to no use for a compost pile and really don't know how to get rid of it. Appreciate any suggestions.

I would guess it burns as well as equally dried cow piles. I hope it smells better.

On the rare occasions I have raked FA out of the pond, I just left it on the bank and it decomposes fairly fast with no unpleasantness. This practice leaves the nutrients in the watershed, so it might not be the best if you are trying to reduce total plant growth in the pond.

I raked out and burned some after it dried on the pond bank. It didn't burn well but a little brush or kindling will keep it going.

Thanks for your replies. I threw it on a good size brush pile to dry out and burn eventually. Sure isn't much to it when it does dry.
