Has anyone else seen a decline in BG activity over the last few weeks? I was at my pond yesterday and it almost seemed dead? My bigger BG were no where to be seen I couldn't catch any and they did not feed very well? The only difference I know of is we did have a 20 degree drop in temp. We went from 72 for a low to 52 over night? Could that have done it? If I didn't know better it's almost as if someone came in and fished me out??? Man I hope not I worked to hard for that to happen at this point!!!
Concerned, RC

I have experienced the same thing over the last week as well, following the same cold spell. Couldn't buy a bite, while the week before you could catch something on every cast. I would say within a few days activity would increase as we move into a fall feeding pattern.

I took the boat and went around the pond and saw several beds but nothing in them? I don't know I haven't had a problem with poachers but I am always afraid some kids might come in there and catch them up?? My water is clear, clear right now but I have a LOT of chara on the bottom maybe they are all hiding in it?? I hope they are anyway! RC
