If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Cecil, what the he.. do you do to find this stuff?

I'm with Ken on this one. Can't say anything or I'd have to moderate myself.

Great, now we are going to pollute the gene pool for other species as well, great....

Mother nature is not going to be happy with us.

Seriously?

Wonder what some of those poster's reactions would be to watching a LMB hammer a BG with a purposefully "impaired" swimming ability? grin

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

You can blame Ande. He posted it on Aquaponics Nation.

Why Tony, don't you know that steaks come from the store and no steers are harmed in the process? I'll bet 80% of those posters don't have a clue how nature works.

I'm trying to Cecil. Walking every morning now. Once I hit 3 miles for a while I'm cutting the distance back and putting on the ankle weights.

Perhaps someone should check and see if the goldfish is eligible for governmental assistance.

Oops...typing out loud again.

Yep, serious. They're only 2 1/2 lb each, but you'd be suprised what that does. Using the same boots as I'll be hunting in because the old ones are getting too worn out after 13 years of stomping around. Gotta break in a new pair of Danners. I probably should see if Wolverine will resole the old ones.

Hopefully I'll be walking with the weights AND a backpack by October.

Well, that's the excuse, but I don't plan on quitting the regiment once hunting season is over. wink Back to the thin air of Colorado in December.

If you think about it, besides my weight, I couild be packing around a lot of stuff on a hunt like that. Backpack weighs 8# without the 3L water bladder. (Eberlestock J1) Binoculars are 2 1/4# Rangefinder is another pound. Rifle with ammo and medium bipod is 12# Large Bipod is 2# Water is 6.2#, round that up to 6 1/2# for the water and bladder. Windmeter and dope book adds another 1 1/4#. Then you have all the winter clothes and boots. We were hunting last year in 0°F weather. It was warmer the previous day, but the winds were doing 25, so that felt even colder than 0°F.

I figure I'm carrying around 50#-60# when you add everything together.

Then add in 8,000 to 9,000 ft (or more) in elevation for our little walks......... Camp is right at 7,000 ft.
