I thought I would share my Bright Idea, this pant tower or something like this could work to create plant life and structure in area that might normally be too deep or unused in your pond My thought is, the height could be adjusted to how deep you want to place it in the pond. Instead of planting with strawberry plants etc, it could be planted with EEL GRASS or other desirable aquatic plants. It would create an underwater Tower of vegetation in an otherwise typically unused area of the pond.

The shape and idea is cool. We need some input from the plant guru's. What medium would you use for the "dirt"?

Yea, could be any thing though, I have seen several DIY versions of auaponic grow towers online. Seems like it could work underwater too.

Peepaw, I was thinking just actual dirt. Maybe sand or sand with some millorganite or somthing mixed in.

I would think anything fiborous as a dirt medium like coconut husks, woven plastics, maybe even poly pillow stuffing? What about that green stuff they put in artificial flower arrangements, it's like part foam and part clay? Bill Cody will know....come in Bill
