Well here goes a first post - I have already read a ton of posts and topics and think I have an good idea of what to do, but I would like y'alls opinions on what to do...
This is a 15acre lake in East Texas and I'm not sure the age of the place. It is ~20ft deep in a couple of spots with avg. btw 8-10ft. There are bluegill, catfish, LMB, crappie that I know of in this pond. Basic practice has been to keep all catfish and crappie but we have not been keeping that many LMB.
When my family first moved here about 3yrs ago, we were catching some nice 4-6lb bass but we haven't seen any of those in 2013. I am including some data from my 2012-2013 fishing where I weighed and measured LMB caught...if I am reading the relative weight chart correctly, I have included the RW for each:
Date Caught Length Weight 7/14/2012 21 5.7 107.55% 7/22/2012 17 2.1 77.78% 11/10/2012 10.5 0.4 66.67% 11/10/2012 10 0.4 80.00% 11/11/2012 20 4 88.89% 11/11/2012 13 1 90.91% 11/11/2012 18 2.7 84.38% 11/11/2012 18 3.5 109.38%
7/16/2013 21.5 4.9 85.96% 8/1/2013 12 0.5 55.56% 8/1/2013 10 0.4 80.00% 8/1/2013 10 0.4 80.00% 8/1/2013 10 0.4 80.00% 8/1/2013 13 1 90.91% 8/1/2013 10.5 0.6 100.00% 8/1/2013 9.5 0.4 #N/A 8/1/2013 11 0.5 71.43% 8/1/2013 11.5 0.7 87.50% 8/1/2013 10.5 0.5 83.33% 8/1/2013 10 0.4 80.00% 8/1/2013 10.5 0.5 83.33% 8/1/2013 9.5 0.3 #N/A 8/1/2013 11.5 0.6 75.00% 8/1/2013 18.5 3.5 100.00% 8/1/2013 13 0.8 72.73% 8/1/2013 11 0.6 85.71% 8/1/2013 11 0.6 85.71% 8/1/2013 10.5 0.5 83.33% 8/1/2013 16 1.4 63.64% 8/1/2013 10 0.5 100.00% 8/1/2013 11.5 0.5 62.50% 8/1/2013 12.5 0.7 70.00% 8/1/2013 13 0.9 81.82% 8/1/2013 10 0.4 80.00% 8/1/2013 12 0.8 88.89%
If I'm reading the data, it would seem that the larger fish are healthier, or at least a higher RW? What would you recommend as far as culling to promote increased LMB size. Where have all the larger bass gone? And as an interesting side note, there has been a sig. reduction in the turtle population. As in we are seeing a few here and there and previously they would stack 2-3 deep on the logs in the water >100 easily. Thoughts? Qeustions? Help!

I don't have any specific data but I have caught BG in the 6" range and you can see 1-4" all over the place.
Also forgot to mention that the pond has plenty of wood cover and typically gets pretty choked with "coon tail" during the summer.
