Hey guys. I have a 1 acre pond that is about 1/2 4' deep, and 1/2 6'-10' deep. My wife wants a fountain....I want a healthy pond and fish. Would prefer to go with solar...$$ isn't a huge concern within reason..just want to do it right the first time. Stocked with CC, HBG, BG, LMB, AND KOI.
Thanks

Are you looking for function or beauty? Fountains don't offer much more than looks, and I'm not to sure on solar options more will have to chime in in that..

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

Contact sue Cruz on Monday with vertex. She will point you in the right direction. Aeration will increase dissolved 02' throughout the water column and get rid of thermoclines and stagnant h20. Aeration will make the fish happy

Fountains are pretty. The won't do nearly as much as aeration for the fish
Fountain will make the wife happy

Congrats on your new fountain AND aeration system!

Thank you. Is it possible to areate too much? I have a cabin close to the pond with solar power and a 1" tube running under ground to the pond. Is it possible to just get a compressor and run it off a sun switch?

smhog,

I just sent you a PM with recommendations. I have even included a recommendation for solar so you can compare with electric.

thanks,

Daniel
