Well I decided to lay a 10x5 foot slab the hard way this Saturday! frown What was I thinking!!

Anyhow it went pretty well 14 bags of Concrete later. I wanted to put this slab in as we fish over here by the shore quite a bit and as the water gets lower its so muddy you can't even get close to the shoreline. So now when we release fish back into the pond and all we can for the most part stay on the concrete slab to release them. Plus I made a nice litte table to put your bait on or drink / tackle box. I haven't decided yet though I may put the bench back a bit just off the slab to give us more foot room when the water starts to rise again. Its not perfect level wise but it will do the job. Anyhow just thought I would show everyone. Man talk about sore the next day! Dang it man!!

Nice! That should work out well. I hear ya, on pouring the concrete. When I was about 30 years old I helped a buddy pour a 10'x10' slab for an outbuilding, using redi-mix and a wheelbarrow. I just about died.

Afterwards, that method of pouring concrete was immediately placed on my mental list of things to never do again. A list which includes things such as: hauling hay, sanding and painting a car, stripping and re-shingling a roof, and a few other "unmentionables"
