Has anyone tried using various diameter (1/8, 1/4 , 5/8) drip tubing in one artifical bush? I am planning on trying this to give the fish more options.
Let me know your thoughts or experience.

What I did for the one I made for my perch pond was to start with 1.5" water line with 1/2" water line across then through the 1/2" water line I used screen window spline. The black line that holds the screen in the frame. It has groved edges.
There is a pile of work building these like this. We build one great big one and put her in but I chose to go with green apple trees. They are a nice hard wood grow crazy twisted and bridge together very well.
Cheers Don.

I'm certainly no expert but I would doubt an advantage to using smaller tubing (1/8 and 1/4) when 5/8 is available. In other words, I would think using the larger material would be better.

It depends on the purpose. Mixing sizes can be good. Smallest in center densely and go out with bigger and bigger with less and less pieces.

I agree with Eric. Randomness seems to work better for me. Funny thing is though, vegetation still seems to hold the greatest majority of my small fish.
I have a feeding area with a mix of Porcupines, Christmas trees, and Primrose/Naiad. The Primrose/Naiad combo continues to hold the most fish.
