JHFV - being new to the site, you might find it helpful to use the "search" button in the upper right corner of the page. You can list relavant words and search for previous posts that contain those words (ie. bushy pondweed). One previous post that relates to your question is: http://www.pondboss.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=14;t=000002

You can deal with bushy pondweed several ways - grass carp, herbicides, altering water clarity, etc. However, your options may be limited by your pond's design and characteristics. Describe your pond's details (size, max and avg depth, water-source, uses, other plants present - indicating if desirable or not) and we'll go from there.

UNless muddy I can not see a reason a 2% solution of Reward would not kill the heck out of bushy pondweed. Apply label recomendations.

You might add some Cide-Kick II to that Reward mix to break down the barky stems better and faster.

I've had good luck with Nautique, a chelated copper compound. I use a rate of 5-7.5 gallons per acre depending on water depth. I use it in situations where watering restrictions associated with Reward or Aquathol aren't feasible. Your mileage may vary.

This time of year, be careful killing all of the weeds in a heavily infested pond.
