Just a random question..... Stocked 1600 CNBG in February app. 2 inches long. I'm in MS. How many times should they have spawned and approx. how many babies are in there now? Just recently added F1's a month or so ago. Reason I ask this, with the rain we had last two days, I lost some small fry over the spillway. no way to know how many but more than I would like. Should I be concerned about this?

Just depends, but I wouldn't be overly concerned about losing some fry over the spillway.

Agree, almost all fish go upstream. Some small ones will get caught in the current but I doubt that the loss will impact the biomass.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

At 30000 plus babies per year per female CNBG you should be ok. How many and what size were the F-1s ?

Yes 2 inch BG stocked in an open (or reduced #s) pond in Feb in MS will have spawned by now at 3-4 inches. Likely once in June. Will/may spawn in July and Aug. He could easily have 3-4 BG spawns this year. #s likely less than 30000 per due to size limits of small fish (egg #s based on weight of spawning female) .

I started seeing them making beds in May in several locations around the edge. I caught several CNBG yesterday that measured 5 inches in length.
Is that about normal for being stocked 5-6 months ago?
and
The majority of the fish that escaped last weekend were 1/2 to 1 inch in length. That would be a spawner from this year correct?
New to all this and thanks for all your responses!!!
