Many forums I have frequented have GTG's....Basically a gathering for members to put faces to names... From reading here it appears maybe that PB has some official meetings of the minds, but has anyone ever had an actual GTG?

I know many members have had a day at the pond with other members to help each other out, but I am talking just a central location to share stories, passion and life...

Like set a date and if you can make it great... Not a hey, I need help can everyone come running...BTW, who is it in Michigan that needs the oak trees cut down? Lol

Just kinda thinking out loud, in other words love meeting new people with a passion for the outdoors!!!

They're both right! They're different but the same. Plenty of downtime, lot's to learn, and new people to meet doing either. I haven't made the conference since it moved to Big Ceadr, but me and Momma have vacationed there before and it's very impressive.

There seems to be a pretty decent size PB contingent in the IL/MO/IN/IA area - maybe we Midwesterners could throw one of these together?

There is a distinct possibility that there will be a local meeting somewhere in Central Illinois in July or August. Yes it may be hot, but not as hot as Texas. PM me if you are interested in participating. Rumor has it that a "Pond Boss Dignitary" is thinking about attending. We would really like to get some new people as well as Forum and Subscribers involved.

Eric, if you want to get out of the heat and humidity, come on up to Indiana in July. It might be a few degrees and a few % less humidity than down there. grin

Bing, I hope there isn't a scheduling conflict with yours. Have you set a date yet for it?

Ga meeting roundtable discussion

Lusk responds to rmedgar - "that's the dumbest question that I have been asked in 30+ years of working all over this country. Who invited you anyway? And why are you sitting next to me"?

I think Bob was saying that his grey beard was nicer than Randy's.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
