So Here is a little photo diary of our trampoline launch party, as well as first day of fun. One of my goals of the lake is a fun place for friends/family to play. I am now successful!

Good thing Dustin had a chance to blend that flagrant farmer's tan too!

It is an impressive tan as I spend most of my days in an office 72 degrees and florescent.

Thanks for the comments. We played again today, and boy, that trampoline will wear everyone out...

Dustin been considering one of these for a long time, same brand, too. The launch pad sure looks good in the marketing materials, but I was wondering how it really worked out for you. In the ad photos it shows kids being launched into orbit...yours looked a little more realistic. What were your impressions?

Also, how was the bounce on the trampoline? I've heard varying reports on the degree of the bounce...was it more of a floating dock than a trampoline?

Good stuff here amigo - well done, and thanks for sharing this.

So my brand of water toy has two distinct lines of product. They have water trampolines, and water bouncers. Trampolines have a metal frame and springs with a normal trampoline surface in the middle, the bouncers have trampoline material attached to the floatation...no springs.

I opted for the bouncer for a few reasons...
1)My kids and the kids that come to play are still fairly young. The quality of bounce was not highly important to them... I figure i will get 5-6 good years out of this, and then switch to a true trampoline. That being said, bouncing is not as good as on land, but it is still loads of fun for the family. they absolutely love it.
2) ease of setup/take down... all I have to do is let the air out, and pull the jumper off the water.. there is no metal frame to deal with.
3) Cost - the cost of the bouncer is much cheaper than the true trampoline.

My first impressions after playing for a week: The kids absolutely love this toy. I find jumping enjoyable, but the "blob" is by far the most popular part of the toy while I am around to launch them. I find that if i land correctly, I can launch my 6 y/o 4-5+ feet into the air. The blob is 2 foot of the water, so they can get 6+ feet high.

I don't know how long this product will last, but thus far it has been a very enjoyable addition to the pond.

Dustin,
Do you plan to deflate every fall/winter or just keep it out in the pond?
