This stuff is all over our lake and seems to be expanding its turf. I think it is Widgeon Grass. Help in identification and treatment would be appreciated. Thanks. Google Images seem to verify that's widgeon grass. It looks like it would cause a lot of problems on spinner baits.

I got this stuff as well. My pond was almost completely dried up and now it is full. I had alot of different types of native grasses growing it the pond bottom which are now flooded. I have a good sized patch of this grass on the surface and I also have what I believe to be Illinios Pondweed. It was around the pond before it filled up and is now growing to the surface. Seems like a great time for me to stock my pond, but I would like to get them under control in the future. Fathead minnows are multiplying fast and I hope my carp are growing fast as they have plenty to eat.

SOme searching on the net has made me believe it is american pondweed, not illinois pondweed.
