Happy Memorial Day, Mabros! This LMB was just over 4.5 lbs. Did not get a length. My kids on the left, and my niece and nephew on the right:

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I firmly believe that Sunil must be doing something illegal, immoral, or otherwise plain dishonest to have the fishery that he has. Could it be that he is spiking the food with artificial growth enhancements? Is it the Peroni? Whatever it is, he sure raises some great fish -- and I've got pictures to prove it. grin

Ken, not a single bullhead seen either!!! I can't believe we took them all out, but really, you just don't see any. Pure joy!

Cute kids. Killer bass. Cool pond. I like the stones at the water's edge.

Here's a little better picture of Tait's LMB (not sure what my boy was planning on doing to the LMB with his finger, but it doesn't look good):

Better that he point it at the fish than toward you ! My guess is he is thinking that there is another one yet to be caught (right down there).

Awesome fish, especially with kids holding it up! How many bullheads to you think that fish has eaten?

mnfish, well, good question. Before catmandoo and Todd33138 came up with their WV buddies, the number would have been high.

Now, I have not even seen a bullhead this year.

This LMB hangs right off the pier and tries to eat any small perch or BG that you catch.

I guess it is good that we got the bullheads out of your pond -- maybe!

Last year we had large gatherings at our place on Memorial Day weekend, and again on Father's Day, where those bullhead filets were fried and devoured faster than three of us could cook them in big outdoor pots.

I'm thinking maybe it is time to help your pond again. This time it would be to remove a bunch of those severely obese yellow perch that keep harassing our hooks when we fish your pond. grin

He's a big boy alright......great catch.

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.
