Know as little about DW as I do? Check out The Charms of Duckweed and all it's links. There is a ton of info there on the varieties, characteristics, and uses of DW. A question brought about from browsing the DW site - have any of the Tilapia using PM's here noticed a decrease in DW since adding Tilapia?

Thanks Theo for the site. Maybe we should put some links and info here with the idea of making this an archive. Ugh it has no charm in my ponds - nothing but trouble , time , money and death for fish. Look at this pic from trials.

UGGGHHH! I haven't looked at those pictures for awhile. I have just read through the site and have come to the conclusion that I will have to probably retreat this spring with the Sonar, With the survival traits of this stuff. I dont like WM and DW very much. You know looking at the tar mud photo I think I will have to pull another sample out on the bank because I don't think that it is as black as it use to be. Hopefully this time next year I will have reduced the muck on the bottom and reduced the amount of organics that are fueling the growth of the WM and DW.
A little snow, Please!

I bet a few pounds of tilapia and a couple of ducks would make a good dent in it. All the bayous and ditches around here are infested with DW. I know my pond will be a constant battle to keep clear of all that charming duckweed.
