Aquaponics is a way of growing plants without using soil. Instead you grow plants in water without soil. Aquaculture involves the farming of aquatic animals in a fish tank. Aquaponics combines hydroponics and aquaculture in a symbiotic way. The plants grown in the hydroponic system help the aquatic animals.
