I have recently added a new Texas Hunter feeder, I decided to build a small pier that is 12 inches above full pool. I think it turned out great!

I decided to build some steps from 80 lb concrete bags to make a path down the dam to the pier.

Dustin, very nice location, where does the wind prevail from? It looks to me like the feeder might be facing west, into the wind.

Are you going to form the stairs or just leave the bags as they are?

How are the CNBG feeding now?

Also I like your trap placement in photo one!!

It looks to me like those pictures are time stamped just after 430 pm. The angle of the shadow would make me think the feeder is facing more northward than anything else. The warmer feeding weather winds should be from a southerly direction in that area I would think.

Good Job Dustin.

Looks nice Dr. Pratt!

"Feeder only pier" is a good idea.

Also love your standing timber.

If I drive thru Childress this summer on the way
to Colorado, might stop by to say "hi" & take a real quick look.

Tums... I think you must be some sort of detective. My feeder is facing a north direction

Dustin, the feeder pier is very nice, but the pond is gorgeous. It's got character.

Congrats on both.

I am just going to leave the steps. I just want something more firm to walk down as I fill the feeder

My CNBG are BACK!!! they are doing great, but I added some more CNBG, HSB, and Talapia last week! This feeder is for the HSB. There is a feeder over by the dock on the west side of the lake.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I am loving my pond.

Very nice work ! May want to consider a small brush pile or 2 just out from the feeder.

Very nice. I was going to build something similar. I need to buy a feeder. Does any one know of a feeder that will Handel the aquamax largemouth bass pellets. They are very large.

The Sweeney Bigmouth feeder will handle the AM LMB pellets, I don't know if there's a "directional" feeder for those pellets on the market.

you have a very nice place and your water looks awesome! I really like your big dock. where does your water come from? Is it well or just runoff?
