Hopefully that is one of the runts from last year, but in a food short pond (too many fish) that could be the average size of last years bass which is a sign of over crowding and lack of predation or too much cover?. Bass do eat bass.

I do seem to have quite a few 10-12 inch bass. The bluegills do not appear to be over crowded and stunted. They average 6-7 inches and we have caught one that was about 11.
I just bought the property so I have no idea what is in the pond.
